The year 2010 may go down as the winter of stormy weather for the Dallam and Hartley Counties area. The first snowfall of the winter season came just after Christmas and was light enough to be called pleasant. It added that special something for the Holiday Season.  

The delight of finding a hat room in their new demountable classroom yesterday has helped Eumungerie Public School children look beyond empty bookcases and fences separating them from the scene of a devastating fire. At 8.30am the school's 17 children were lined up, ready for routine after a week of wandering. the move last week as their temporary classroom was installed. stimulus cash, administration building, toilets and storage facilities. Lost were two classrooms, library, canteen, computer room, outdoor learning area and an uninterrupted start to the 2010 school year.  

Shane Warne has urged his fellow Australians to play in the coming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) despite threats from an Indian political party. The Mumbai-based Shiv Sena, a right-wing party, has said Australians will be barred from playing matches in the city in retaliation for recent attacks on Indians living in Australia, including last month's murder of 21-year-old Punjabi Nitin Garg in Melbourne. But Warne, captain and coach of Rajasthan Royals, said: "As far as I've said, and what I have heard and read, I've got no security issues whatsoever.

Walt Disney Co. ( DIS ) will report its results for the first quarter of fiscal 2010 after the bell Tuesday, and despite the fact that it reported a decrease in revenues for fiscal 2009, down to $36.15 billion from $37.84 billion in fiscal 2008, anticipation from at least one analyst is positive. JPMorgan analyst Imran Khan appeared hopeful that the first-quarter report would show improvement, and raised his rating of Disney to "neutral" from "underweight," an endorsement, though not a strong ...  

CVS Caremark Corporation (NYSE: CVS ) reported fourth-quarter earnings of 79 cents per share, a penny higher than the analyst estimate of 78 cents per share, on profit of $1.05 billion. In the same quarter last year the company earned $949 million, or 65 cents per share. Shares are up 6.15% today.  

Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler were snapped by the paparazzi having fun in Mexico this past weekend, but the two weren't on a solo date vacation. Joined by Aniston's friends Courteney Cox and Sheryl Crow, Jennifer and Gerard hung out like friends, not flames. One of the startling things about the snaps of Gerard Butler hanging out with Jennifer actually had nothing to do with the company-- it looks like he lost a good deal of his freaky X-Mas gut already.  

Great Lakes Theater Festival's 2010-2011 season, its 49th, will be a Shakespeare-heavy affair. Charles Fee, producing artistic director for the Cleveland company, over the weekend announced the lineup for a season that will run from September 2010 through April 2011. The new season will be performed at PlayhouseSquare's Hanna and Ohio theatres.  

Another Super Bowl Sunday is in the books and America will be waiting another 12 months for the best Sunday of the year. The pandemonium surrounding the NFL's biggest game is immeasurable and this fanatic obsession should be worthy of another title – that of "national holiday." Super Bowl Sunday is not just merely a football game but a union of fans, food, and celebration.  

A study says cat owners are better educated than dog owners. I think we should be cautious in the way we interpret these seismic findings. Even if cat owners are better educated, they can't be more intelligent, otherwise they wouldn't have made the profoundly unintelligent decision to get a cat.
